Bruno Herrmann
As the son of founding member Walter Herrmann, Bruno began his golf career over 50 years ago as a caddy on the golf course in Saanenmöser. In addition to his training to become a Swiss PGA golf teacher, he completed two 6-month internships at Charlotte Country Club in North Carolina USA and Elm Park in Belfast Irland.
Bruno has been working at the Golf Club Gstaad-Saanenland since 1982 as Head Pro where he also runs the Pro Shop. He also completed a further education in golf psychology (The Mind Factor) with the two well-known psychologists Karl Morris and Dr John Pates.
As we all know, the most important 11 inches are between the ears., Bruno describes the 2 rounds of golf with Arnold Palmer and David Feherty as a highlight of his career.
Christian Lüdemann
As a former golf teacher on the cruise ship MS Europe, he taught for several years on every continent. Since 1986, Christian is enthusiastic about constantly further educating himself by visiting the most successful pros in the world. His biggest passion is teaching the juniors. Christian teaches in German, English and French. During winter he offers golf trips to Portugal and Spain. Christian’s goal for the future, in addition to teaching in Gstaad, is to actively play on the senior tour. His teaching motto is: Good players are fast players.
Graham Townhill
As former Head Pro at GC Silkeborg in Denmark and Head Coach of the Danish National Team, he coached Thomas Björn at the start of his career. With 55 years of experience at different golf clubs across Europe, Graham continues to pass on his knowledge to avid golfers. During Summer he teaches in Gstaad and in Winter he is in the south of Spain at Valderama or Sotogrande. As a native English, he speaks fluent English, Danish, a bit of German and Spanisch. Whilst teaching he manages to change complicated matters into feelings. His teaching motto is: simple is better.
Beginner’s Package 2024
The beginner’s package gives you the opportunity to learn the game of golf with a qualified instructor. As soon as the golf pro has given you permission to play the course – which should be the case after four or five weeks of intensive practice – you can play on our golf course until the end of the season. The aim is to pass the course licence test.
Taster course 2024
Our taster course includes five one-and-a-half hour group lessons with a golf instructor. You will learn basic techniques and rules and find out if golf is right for you as a hobby.
